To the brave go the spoils

Not long ago, when the world was still semi-normal, the Lord spoke almost audibly to me.  My husband and I were on our way home from breakfast where we had the privilege of sitting in a restaurant (1.5meters away from other people).  And I heard the Lord say this, “To the Brave go the spoils”. First I was shocked at the clarity of the word, and then that He would give me that word in a time and season where everything was shutting down.  That word has become not just an anchor for me (the lamp unto my feet) but a vision for me (a light unto my path) of the plans the Lord has in the midst of the storm.

As I have continued to hold that word (and his voice) in my heart it has continued to unpack – there are treasures to be found in, and at the end of this situation, but it will take courage, bravery and boldness to let go and leave behind the old ways that we knew, that gave us comfort and identity, and embrace a new way of reliance on Him and Him alone, of identity in Him and Him alone – for the cloud by day and the fire by night.

There are beautiful treasures to be found in the Pause we are in, in Selah; in the waiting becoming reacquainted with the still small voice. For in this season those who keep their hearts and minds steadily on Him will find Him in a way they have never known before – in this place the end-times army will be forged… in the secret place.

Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go”

We are not ignorant of the enemy’s schemes, his intentions and the darkness of the plan, but we have our eye on the one that is Greater.

The closeness of the Lord in this season is breathtaking, and He is shaping us for purpose – the end times army, the end times harvesters – we are building the kingdom of God – we are in a Nehemiah time…

Nehemiah 4:15-17 “When our enemies heard that it was known to us and that GOD HAD FRUSTRATED their plan, we all returned to the wall, each to his work. From that day on, half of my servants worked on construction, and half held spears, shields, bows and coats of mail. And the leaders stood behind the whole house of Judah, who were building on the wall. Those who carried burdens were loaded in such a way that each laboured on the work with one hand and held his weapon with the other and each of the builders had his sword strapped at his side while he built.  The man who sounded the trumpet was beside me”.

We are building a kingdom that will never end! Courage and Boldness will reap the reward of the harvest!

TO THE BRAVE GO THE SPOILS!
