I was in an encounter this week where the Lord showed me the numbers 7 AND 17. I enquired about the significance of these numbers and He revealed to me that they represented the ages when the enemy came to me as a child and as an adolescent in an attempt to SHAPE MY IDENTITY. As I meditated on this I asked the Lord, ‘why did the enemy choose those ages/ seasons?!’ He said to me clearly, ‘that was when I PLANNED TO VISIT YOU!’ I was shocked because those years were two key seasons in my life that shaped my world before I came to Christ and the Lord was showing me a spiritual principle.
As I was blown away by this He told me, ‘I AM visiting the earth NOW and the enemy wants to shape the earths identity by lying, stealing and destroying again!’ I started to see that as Jesus came out of the wilderness before He moved in power the devil came to Him to abort the visitation of God on His people. This principle is repeated over and over in scripture but the key is that we must take it by faith that HE IS VISITING THE EARTH NOW. The verses that accompanied this are from Habakkuk 3:3-6
“God came from Teman, The Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, And the earth was full of His praise. His brightness was like the light; He had rays flashing from His hand, And there His power was hidden. Before Him went pestilence, And fever followed at His feet. He stood and measured the earth; He looked and startled the nations. And the everlasting mountains were scattered, The perpetual hills bowed. His ways are everlasting.”
Habakkuk 3:3-6 NKJV
While scripture has a primary instruction that would be understood by the recipients of its day, there are prophetic layers and cycles……the Lord told me that this passage is applicable now.
The main points to this are that His glory is here and it demands a response of His people praising Him (verse 3). Recently Lana Vawser and Christina Theodosiadis prophesied that right now we are called to ‘magnify the Lord’. I believe that this will activate significant visitation that the Lord has so abundantly provided in the Spirit. The enemy wants you to be focussed and consumed with his evil report but we are called to ‘magnify the Lord’ through worship in order to activate Gods glory and visitation.
For those who believe that this visitation is for now and who activate it through magnifying and obeying Him will experience a visitation of power, might and deliverance (verse 4). This is also illustrated in 2 Chronicles 20:20-22 when Judah believed the Lord and His prophet and they sent the worshippers before the army and the enemy was destroyed spectacularly without them even fighting the battle themselves.
We then see that characteristic to this visitation is that ‘Before Him went the pestilence and fever followed at His feet.’ Habakkuk 3:5. At this time the world is focussing on pestilence, pandemics and plagues while the Spirit of God is saying ‘look to Me and My glory because I AM visiting the earth. Power and deliverance are mine, I AM shaking all things so that the things that can’t be shaken will remain!’ At the moment in our church we are seeing significant financial and creative miracles!
The last thing I took from this encounter was that during this visitation ‘the everlasting mountains were scattered and the perpetual hills bowed’ (verse 6). It is interesting to note that the mountains were not natural but ‘everlasting’. In prophetic typology mountains can represent many things but I believe here that they represent government, authority and even resources. When things are birthed from the eternal realm to the earth I don’t believe they come from the imagination of mans heart but THROUGH the imagination of mans heart. In the same way I believe that government, authority and resources come through mankind but originate from higher heavenly dimensions. This visitation involves a scattering of everlasting mountains in invisible dimensions so that in our time space world a reordering, reprioritising and redistribution will take place……bring on the Joseph’s!
Finally there is an invitation in the Spirit to draw near to Him and not miss the day of our visitation but I believe soon, if not already, the world will look more and more like Isaiah 60:1,2 where the earth will look more and more as it were….bipolar. Extreme light and glory in places while at the same time deep darkness in other places but the good news is that light overcomes darkness and the knowledge of His glory will cover the earth as the water covers the seas (Habakkuk 2:14). Let’s not miss our time of visitation.
